Summary

Pakistan's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting stated that Afghan Taliban forces fired mortars and weapons at civilians in Angoor Adda, South Waziristan, and that Pakistani forces responded by destroying seven Taliban positions. Afghanistan's Defence Ministry disputed this account. A mortar struck a home in Angoor Adda, killing 1 person and injuring 5 others, according to Pakistani officials. Pakistan characterized the Afghan version of events as false and deceptive.
